Just a simple draft of a table to generate a randomized Duration for a Temporary Enchantment, based on each +2 on the table doubling Duration. Base roll is 1d8, often plus some bonuses. Treat less than -2 as -2, but continue the progression for results over 20.

Also roll 3d12 and add them up. On a result of 36, add +2 to the result of the 1d8 roll. On a 33, 34 or 35, add +1 to the result of the 1d8 roll.
